Organised crime gang jailed for drugs conspiracy
Robin Shellard acting as leading Junior successfully prosecuted 13 defendants in a multi kilo cocaine conspiracy at Bristol Crown Court in April 2021.
This police operation was part of a linked series of prosecutions which he had also successfully prosecuted in 2019 and 2020. The Regional Crime Squad targeted different parts of an organised crime gang bringing kilos of cocaine from London to the Cotswolds supplied by Albanian drug importers using encrypted phones. The cocaine would then be cut and sold on to other dealers in the Stroud and Dursley area. This was a complex operation that culminated in a trial in February 2021 for some of the conspirators.
