Carolina Bracken secures acquittal in shooting

Carolina Bracken secured an acquittal for her client following a 4-week trial at Nottingham Crown Court.

The prosecution alleged that Carolina’s client had organised for her son, step-son, and another man to beat and shoot her former partner following a disagreement over drugs and money. He was badly beaten to the face, and shot 4 times, suffering severe injuries. Despite having been paid not to give evidence, as part of a conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, the complainant did give evidence, and alleged that Carolina’s client was in the room encouraging the men assaulting him. Carolina’s client was the only defendant acquitted. Carolina was instructed by Deborah Bell of Phillips Solicitors.
