A win for the SFO in the Court of Appeal

The Appeal against sentence of ex solicitor, Timothy Schools was refused today in the Court of Appeal. Miranda Moore KC with Paul Raudnitz KC for the SFO. The case arose out of the collapse of the Axiom fund, where losses to investors exceeded £100 million. The sentence of 14 years, one of the longest imposed for fraud was upheld.
