Stefan Bisson secures guilty verdicts in fraud case
We are delighted to share a significant success at Croydon Crown Court, where Stefan Bisson (instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service) successfully secured Guilty verdicts on all counts against the defendant, KA, in relation to a fraud matter.
The Defendant faced an indictment containing two counts of fraud by false representation.
The prosecution’s case was that this was a calculated digital fraud, where the defendant hid behind fake profiles to sell high-value stolen vehicles to innocent buyers. The defendant’s case relied on an elaborate set of excuses, denying any dishonesty.
The Defendant gave evidence and through cross examination, the defendant’s scapegoat defence was entirely dismantled. The jury returned unanimous Guilty verdicts after approximately 1 hour.
