Emily Jarron
Emily is developing a busy Crown Court practice and accepts instructions to prosecute and defend across the full range of criminal work. Her recent cases have included sexual offences, violence, drug offences, weapons and a variety of road traffic matters.
Prior to pupillage, Emily worked as a paralegal at a leading criminal defence firm in Central London where she assisted in the representation of a Core Participant in the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry. She has volunteered with the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union, representing workers in internal disputes and the School Consent Project.
R v F (Reading Crown Court): Represented a defendant charged with assault emergency worker. Following trial involving video evidence adduced by the Crown, the jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict.
R v C (Northampton Magistrates’ Court): Instructed to represent a defendant charged with sexual assault who was acquitted following trial.
R v F (Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court): Represented a defendant charged with assault by beating in a domestic setting who was acquitted following trial.
R v L (Croydon Magistrates’ Court): Instructed to represent a defendant charged with driving offences. Following trial, the defendant was acquitted.
R v J (Isleworth Crown Court): Prosecuting an appeal against conviction including offences of possession of a bladed article, threats to kill and assault by beating.
