Andrew Pandyan

Born in India, Andrew was made in the Royal Navy.  He joined Britannia Royal Naval College in November 2014 having graduated from the University of Keele with a 2:1 LLB (Hons), where he was an active member of the Athletic Union, the Bar Society and the Army Reserve.  

Ben Lay

Selected for legal training by the Navy in 2018, Ben completed the GDL and BVS from 2019 and was called to the Bar in 2021.  He undertook pupillage at 5 Paper Buildings in 2021-22, enjoying a variety of prosecution and defence work during his practising period.  On completion of pupillage Ben moved into his next Naval assignment and was pleased to be made a door tenant of Chambers.

David Mpanga

He was called to the Bar of England and Wales to The Honourable Society of Middle Temple in 1993. He joined 5 Paper Buildings following the successful completion of pupillage. In 1998 he moved to Uganda, remaining as a door tenant in Chambers, to work with Mugerwa & Masembe, Advocates until 2003.

Mark Wyeth KC

Mark was depicted in the recent ‘Responsible Child’ BBC Drama reconstruction in which, in the original trial, he appeared as lead counsel for the defence of the 14 year-old boy. Mark also appeared for the defendant in the ‘front page’ and nationally reported ‘bike boy’ case (R v Charlie Alliston).
