Sentence successfully appealed in the Court of Appeal
Kate Parker, instructed by Elizabeth Morrice of Slater & Gordon, successfully appealed a sentence of 8 months' imprisonment and a 2 year driving ban in the Court of Appeal Criminal Division on grounds it was manifestly excessive.
Kate's client pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, having driven with 5 passengers at speed on the wrong side of the road, colliding with another vehicle on a blind bend, and overturning on a flyover close to a sheer drop. The client was sentenced to 6 months' imprisonment and 21 months' disqualification on appeal.
