Mr Graham Trembath KC
It is with great shock and sadness that 5 Paper Buildings has to report that Graham Trembath KC unexpectedly died at home on 30 June 2026. Graham was called in 1978 and took silk in 2003. He was still actively in practice, defending the most serious cases with skill, humour and a lightness of touch which were the hallmarks of an outstanding career as a criminal advocate. Whilst he would be the last to admit it, Graham was a serious lawyer who thought deeply about his cases. He joined Chambers over 30 years ago and was in constant demand, regularly appearing at the Old Bailey and across the South Eastern Circuit.
His many friends at 5PB and across the Bar will remember a warm-hearted and genuinely funny man, whose enjoyment of advocacy and life was infectious. His rapport with juries was legendary as was his kindness and generosity to others in the profession to whom trial advocacy may not have come so naturally. His passing has devasted us all.
Graham was devoted to his family and we send our love and sympathy to Ulrika, Dominic and Marika, his grandchildren and wider family.
