Worldwide Tickets Ltd & Others v North Yorkshire County Council [2019] UKFTT 2018 066 concerned appeals in relation to secondary

Ben Douglas-Jones QC instructed by Seamus Austin of Tuckers Solicitors acting for the appellants, who were served with a maximum penalty of £5,000 for their breach of the provisions as shown in test purchases by officers of the CMA. The appellants all accepted that they breached the rules and provided a variety of explanations but challenged the financial penalties on the grounds of fairness and that they were too high. The appeals were allowed, [2019] UKUT 2019 066 1 covers the hearing of the costs application.
