Success of private prosecutions

On 7 June 2019 at Westminster Magistrates’ Court Richard Padley instructed by Blake Morgan LLP, acting on behalf of the Architects Registration Board successfully prosecuted John Priestley for three offences of carrying on business as an architect without having been registered as an architect. Mr Priestley was fined £1500 on each offence, and ordered to pay the prosecutors costs in full. This was a further prosecution against the once Grenfell Tower Inquiry expert Richard having earlier prosecuted Mr Priestley in December 2018 for the same conduct.
