Josh Normanton exposes serious issues with disclosure training

Josh Normanton instructed by Keith Wood of Lewis Nedas Solicitors successfully defended a company and company director accused of Trading Standards safety offences. In the course of Josh’s cross-examination of a senior Trading Standards officer, the officer made admissions about the disclosure procedure adopted in the case.

The admissions were such that the prosecutor conceded in open court that: (a) the disclosure process had fallen far short of the required standard; and (b) there was an issue with disclosure training for Trading Standards officers at the relevant local authority.

Ultimately, the local authority was forced to offer no evidence during their first witness’s evidence and the defendants were found not guilty.
