Charlene Sumnall secures an acquittal for client charged with Perverting the Course of Public Justice

Charlene Sumnall instructed by Tasnime Akunjee of Waterfords solicitors secured an acquittal for her client charged with Perverting the Course of Public Justice following a 3 week trial at the Central Criminal Court. The client was said to have disposed of clothes and phones following a near fatal stabbing in Shadwell in June 2018.

Charlene successfully exclude evidence of a purported voice identification made by the OIC alongside casting doubt on the integrity of the police handling of her clients phone and its subsequent download having discovered numerous irregularities within the XRY data.

The jury returned guilty verdicts on those defendants charged with the attempted murder.
