Pupillage
We will provide each twelve month pupil with an award of £12,000 payable in instalments (up to £1,000 of which can be provided in advance once the BVC has been successfully completed). During the first six months, travel expenses outside the M25 are reimbursed by Chambers.
In addition to the £12,000 award, pupils can expect to earn significant fees during the second six months. Any earnings will be yours to keep, and will not be offset against the award. Pupils pay clerks' fees on earnings at a reduced rate. £8,000 is a realistic estimate of the earnings during your second six months at 5pb.
Chambers will also pay for all pupils to attend the compulsory Advice to Counsel course, the Forensic Accountancy course and the Human Rights course, and may pay for other relevant courses on application.
