Miranda Moore QC has been interviewed as part of a documentary featuring the Kayleigh Haywood case, which will air on Thursday 27th April at 10pm on Channel 5.
The case has already received a large amount of media attention following on from the Kayleigh’s Love Story film about the last 13 days of the life of 15-year-old Leicestershire schoolgirl Kayleigh Haywood, who was groomed online by Luke Harlow, a man she had never met, before being raped and murdered by his next door neighbour Stephen Beadman.
The film has been made to serve as a warning to children and adults of the dangers of grooming and sexual exploitation following Kayleigh’s tragic death in November 2015. The film has now had over 2.8 million views and can be see here.
Miranda Moore QC and Teresa Hay successfully prosecuted the trial of Harlow and Beadman, who were found guilty of falsely imprisoning schoolgirl Haywood. Beadman had previously admitted rape and murder and was jailed for 35 years, while Harlow was given a 12-year-sentence.
