Ian has practised exclusively in criminal law for many years. He specialises in cases of serious violence, robbery and sexual assault, both prosecuting and defending. He has great experience in trials involving sensitive and vulnerable witnesses and is preferred by a number of CPS offices in Special Measures cases.
Adept on computers, he is on the IT panel of Chambers.
He appeared in R v Bloomfield [1997] 1 Cr.App.R.135, a leading authority on abuse of process in decisions to prosecute.
