Alex is instructed to defend in all criminal matters, including grievous bodily harm, supply of drugs and offences of dishonesty.

Allegation of GBH stayed as an abuse of process at the conclusion of the prosecution case.

Prosecution
Alex conducts a wide range of prosecution work for both the CPS and other bodies.
North Lincolnshire Council v Hussein- Grimsby Crown Court, February 2010
Defendant pleaded guilty to twelve-count indictment of trading standards offences drafted by counsel.
Instructed in confiscation, enforcement and cash forfeiture proceedings for both defendants and prosecuting authorities.
 
Experience in prosecuting infringements of intellectual property rights and has regularly appeared to prosecute on behalf of the Federation Against Copyright Theft Ltd. and Media Protection Services Ltd., conducting cases under the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988.


Fraud

Has worked as a disclosure officer for the Serious Fraud Office. Has appeared for and against the Department of Work and Pensions in cases of benefit fraud.

Road Traffic
Instructed for the defence in road traffic offences ranging from speeding to death by careless driving.

Pro Bono
Alex conducts work for the Bar Pro Bono Unit. He has conducted a judicial review of a civil decision under the Police Property Act 1897.
