Prosecution work
SFO, Customs & Excise, CPS involving the full gamut of indictments, including recently a 4-month, 12-defendant murder trial, a 14-defendant drug-dealing case and the 8-month prosecution of Robert Hendy-Freegard, convicted of kidnapping by fraud, by posing as an MI5 undercover agent between 1993 - 2003.He has prosecuted at least 15 murder cases.
Defence work
He appears country-wide in cases representing killers, fraudsmen (including 6-month SFO case), smugglers etc.
Most recently he has defended a conspirator to import drugs and tobacco for 3 months and a conspirator to murder/kidnap for 2 months. He has defended in more than 20 murder cases.
Court of Appeal
Regular appearances including, of late, for killer-appellant who won a re-trial and for an international arms dealer whose conviction was quashed for abuse of process (interference with defence witnesses as unearthed by the Scott inquiry). Latter appellant received £2m compensation from Home Office.
