Particular expertise in white collar crime, including cases of money laundering, confiscation, MTIC fraud, corruption, tax evasion and regulatory breaches (eg: FSMA/HSWA).

Considerable experience in dealing with disciplinary offences of all kinds, having advised and acted in cases involving professionals  (barristers, accountants, solicitors, dentists and architects) and sportsmen (footballers, rowers, golfers and fencers).

Specialist in serious transport and road traffic offences including those involving fatalities, hazardous materials and health and safety incidents.

Included on the list of Defence Counsel at the International Criminal Court and recently instructed in connection with proceedings there.  

In 2009 Tom was appointed to the Attorney-General’s list of Special Advocates.

R v Richardson [2009] EWCA Crim 2473 – Mandatory 5 year sentence for Firearms offence overturned for Company Director in accidental possession of weapon.
