Emma Deacon prosecutes and defends in all serious crime as a leading junior, led by QCs, and alone.

•She has experience in a wide range of work including murder and offences of violence, public order offences, drugs offences, sexual offences and fraud.
•She is a specialist in serious and complex fraud, money laundering, and drugs conspiracies, acting both for the prosecution and the defence.
•She also has substantial experience, both prosecuting and defending, in complex confiscation proceedings.
•She has particular expertise in dealing with difficult public interest immunity issues. She is experienced in representing third party witnesses summonsed to produce documents in complex criminal proceedings.


Emma Deacon was appointed to the Attorney General's 'A' list panel of prosecuting counsel in 2006 and is regularly instructed in substantial cases by the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office. In 2009, she was appointed to the Serious Fraud Office 'A' panel of counsel.  Emma is graded as a Grade 4 prosecutor by the CPS.  She is also regularly instructed by the Department of Health, the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
